iFAST Financial Hong Kong has expanded its discretionary portfolio management offering through a new partnership with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, adding two professionally managed portfolios to its platform for wealth advisers and their clients.
The two new portfolios became available in Hong Kong in August 2026, giving advisers using the iFAST platform additional options for building investment portfolios around clients’ financial objectives and risk profiles.
The partnership brings together iFAST Hong Kong’s wealth management platform and J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s global investment capabilities, particularly its range of actively managed exchange traded funds. For advisers, the arrangement is designed to reduce the time spent on portfolio construction and administration while allowing them to focus more closely on financial planning and client relationships.
Two new portfolios added to iFAST platform
iFAST Financial Hong Kong, a wholly owned subsidiary of iFAST Corporation, announced the expansion on September 8.
The new discretionary portfolio management solutions are advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and are intended for wealth advisers operating through the iFAST Hong Kong platform.
Discretionary portfolio management allows investment decisions to be handled by professional portfolio managers on behalf of clients, within an agreed investment mandate. Instead of selecting and adjusting every holding themselves, advisers can use professionally managed portfolios while continuing to work with clients on their broader financial needs.
For iFAST, the partnership expands the range of investment solutions available through its business to business platform.
Glory Lau, General Manager of Platform Services at iFAST Financial Hong Kong, said the arrangement gives advisers access to J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s investment expertise while allowing them to spend more time developing relationships with clients.
“Partnering with J.P. Morgan Asset Management allows us to bring institutional expertise to advisers and their clients here in Hong Kong,” Lau said.
She added that outsourcing portfolio management through the discretionary service allows advisers to concentrate on client relationships and broader financial planning.

J.P. Morgan brings active ETF expertise
The portfolios use J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s global range of active exchange traded funds.
Active ETFs differ from traditional passive ETFs because portfolio managers make investment decisions with the aim of producing returns that differ from or exceed a benchmark. The approach combines the trading structure of an ETF with active investment management.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management said its approach relies on global research and asset allocation methods developed and tested across different market conditions.
Yuejue Jin, Asia Head of Multi Asset Solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said the firm would make its active ETF capabilities and portfolio solutions available to iFAST clients in Hong Kong through the partnership.
The portfolios are intended to provide diversification and resilience across different market conditions while supporting clients’ longer term financial goals.
For advisers, that means they can use an investment solution backed by a large global asset manager without having to build every portfolio from individual securities or funds.
The arrangement also adds another layer of support for advisers. In addition to portfolio and asset allocation services, J.P. Morgan Asset Management will provide investment insights and training.
That support becomes part of iFAST Hong Kong’s broader adviser programme, which includes exclusive content, courses and events.
Reducing the administrative burden for advisers
Portfolio construction can consume a significant amount of an adviser’s time, particularly when client portfolios require regular monitoring and adjustments.
The new solutions are designed to shift much of that investment management responsibility to professional portfolio managers.
Advisers can therefore spend more time discussing financial objectives, risk tolerance, retirement planning and other personal financial matters with clients.
The approach also gives advisers more flexibility when matching portfolios to different client requirements.
A client with a longer investment horizon and higher tolerance for market fluctuations may require a different allocation from someone seeking a more conservative approach. By offering professionally managed portfolio options, iFAST aims to give advisers a wider range of tools for addressing those differences.
The partnership does not remove the adviser’s role. Instead, it separates investment management from the wider advisory relationship, allowing advisers to use external investment expertise while remaining responsible for understanding their clients’ financial circumstances and objectives.
A growing wealth management platform
The expansion comes as iFAST continues to build its wealth management operations across several major markets.
iFAST Corporation had assets under administration of S$36.13 billion as of June 30, 2026.
The Singapore based group was incorporated in 2000 and listed on the Singapore Exchange Mainboard in December 2014. It now operates in Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Its business to business platforms serve more than 980 financial advisory companies, financial institutions, banks and internet companies. Together, these platforms support more than 15,300 wealth advisers across its markets.
The company provides access to more than 29,600 investment products, covering mutual funds, bonds, stocks, exchange traded funds and insurance products.
Its services also extend beyond investment products. The group provides wealth management solutions, online discretionary portfolio management, banking services, pension administration, trust services, investment research and seminars, financial technology solutions and investment administration and transaction services.
That broad platform gives iFAST a large distribution network through which asset managers can reach professional advisers and their clients.

Hong Kong remains an important market
iFAST entered the Hong Kong market in 2007 and has since developed the local operation into a financial technology and wealth management platform serving financial advisers and investors.
iFAST Financial Hong Kong holds Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 licences issued by the Securities and Futures Commission. It is also registered as a Mandatory Provident Fund intermediary under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority.
The regulatory permissions cover a range of financial activities and support the company’s role in providing investment and portfolio management services in Hong Kong.
The addition of J.P. Morgan managed portfolios gives the platform another established global investment manager at a time when advisers are facing growing demands from clients for diversified investment solutions and professional portfolio oversight.
What the partnership means for wealth advisers
The partnership reflects a broader shift in how financial advisers can structure their businesses.
Instead of spending substantial time researching individual investments, deciding asset allocations and making repeated portfolio adjustments, advisers can delegate certain investment responsibilities to professional managers.
That can create more time for activities that require direct interaction with clients, including financial planning, understanding changing circumstances and reviewing long term objectives.
The model may also help smaller advisory businesses access investment management capabilities that would otherwise require additional internal resources.
For clients, the value lies in having access to professionally managed portfolios through the same adviser relationship they already use for financial guidance.
The portfolios are not presented as a substitute for personalised financial advice. Rather, they provide another investment management option that advisers can consider when constructing solutions for individual clients.
Investment support extends beyond portfolios
J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s involvement also includes educational resources for advisers.
Investment insights and training are expected to supplement the portfolio solutions, giving advisers access to information that can help them understand market conditions, asset allocation and investment strategies.
For iFAST, this adds to an existing adviser support structure built around content, courses and events.
The company’s model increasingly combines investment product access with technology, portfolio management and professional resources, creating a platform that aims to handle more of the operational side of wealth management.
The new J.P. Morgan portfolios therefore represent more than two additional investment choices. They form part of iFAST Hong Kong’s effort to give advisers a broader set of managed solutions while reducing the operational demands associated with running client portfolios.
As wealth advisers face increasingly complex client expectations, the ability to combine professional investment management with personalised financial advice could become an increasingly important part of how advisory firms serve investors.
For iFAST Hong Kong, the immediate step is clear: its advisers now have two additional J.P. Morgan Asset Management portfolio solutions available through the platform, backed by active ETF capabilities, investment research and adviser training.
